Water lilies, part of my urban container garden. I keep this half wiskey barrel tub filled with a minature water lily. I have had it now in three differant apartment over a ten year or so period. It is just a wonderfully relaxing little piece of green. Some of the placse that I have had it I have done it as a water fountain, so I have a bubbling water sound - like a mini oasis. No such luck here, no eletric outside. But I do keep adding the mosquito dunks so things never get buggy.

The Howard Street Bridge over the Jones Falls Expressway (I-83). Like any older big city Baltimore has a huge conglomeration of various types of bridges built in diferant eras. Usually I speed under this one, giving it barely a nod as a notice. This moring it glowed as if goldern in the beautiful light of the morning sunrise.
Go here for more information on Baltimore area bridges.

As stated, I always tote my camera around with me - this morning it paid off. Coming home from an all night set strike, the view of sunrise was magnificent. The clouds were just amazing.

I admit, I am a bit of a nature junkie. I love the natural patterns of growing twisted intertwined things. This vine is growing up one of the trees in the yard where I have an apartment. I think the vine is really kind of bad for the tree, it seems to be slowly choking the life out of it. But the vine itself is very healthy and provides its own kind of green canopy.

"Mom, this is sooooo boring!"

Schools let out early for the day - it was too hot. I still had to finish giving King Kong a manicure, so Fuzzhead came to the prop shop with me. Most kids on the planet would have killed to be sitting in King Kong's hand munching cheese curls and sipping a cool soda, but not my son. Lol - go figure.

My son and I went to the inner harbor for an afternoon of fun. We rented a paddle boat, strolled in and out of the trendy over priced stores, ate ice cream and generally behaved live tourists. Every now and then that is kind of fun. When I first moved here, I went to the harbor almost every weekend, now it is a rare occasion. Fuzzhead made me promise we will go more often.

A dragon boat and behind a view of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, as taken on our paddle boad trip around the harbor. I was made to promise that next time we would be renting a dragon boat. I guess they have a greater "cool" factor if you are a young boy.

Another one of my photos of organic textures. This one is of part of the side entrance steps to the building where I live. It is very relaxing here. I live in a very small third floor walk-up apartment in half an attic of an old Victorian house. The best part is the house sits on a large lot, an acre or more, and there are several large trees including a maple with large sweeping limbs. It is set back from the street. So while not perfect, (basic utilities are an issue), it is affordable, in a good school zone, and like living in a mini park.
